Living away from your family during the holidays can be especially difficult for people working to overcome addiction and symptoms of mental illness.
Women and men in services with our Adult Residential Program and with Touchstone may not have close relationships with family members who will visit during the holidays... The majority of our residents are low or no-income.
In an effort to help people experience some of the joy the Holidays can bring, we are asking for special help from the community.
> Touchstone residents need a church group or civic organization to adopt them for Christmas and help with small gifts.
> We are also looking for a person or group to help with gift wrapping for our Adult Residential Program.
> All of our programs could use help with warm items - hats, gloves/mittens, scarves, socks.
> And, secular holiday cards for residents would also be deeply appreciated.
Any of these would make a big difference! As you consider all you have to be grateful for this holiday season, please consider how you can share your blessings with the women and men of CenterPointe.
Please contact Abbigail at 402.475.8717 ext 133 to get involved.
